Mad Dog 2020 are looking for 1000 new people in Scotland to become extras. We are in Edinburgh from 29th September to 2nd October to register new extras for several TV series.

The TV and Film industry in Scotland has always had creative strength with classics like Trainspotting, Highlander, Braveheart to the charming Gregory’s Girls, and TV series like Outlander are showing how stunning Scottish locations are to the world. The industry is gaining momentum with real pressure for new studio facilities and a number of industry bodies focused on delivering growth to Scotland.

Recent commitments by major broadcasters such as the BBC who have committed to delivering 9% of UK production to Scotland this year are also helping to grow the industry. Despite recent criticism around the lack of studio facilities, things are looking interesting for people who want to become extras. Mad Dog 2020 have recently put 2000 people on set in Scotland in new major films and TV series and are looking for more people to join them.

Mad Dog 2020 are looking for men and women aged 18-35 to appear in a new Edinburgh based series called “Clique” which has been billed as the new “Skins”, the writer cut her teeth on Skins and is drawing on her own experiences, in this article she describes University as being pretty terrifying.

Mad Dog 2020 are also looking for men and women of all ages to become extras in Edinburgh and from around Scotland for period dramas. Anyone interested in applying should have good availability, and have the right to work in the UK.

To register, please come down to Tech Cube, 1 Summerhall, Edinburgh EH1 9PL on Saturday or Sunday from 10am – 1pm, or 2pm – 5pm.
